Happy New Year!
This month I had a procedure and had 16 injections to alleviate the pain in my left shoulder.
I attended the January 2022 virtual IKEA LIVE Lagom session, Waste Not Want Not and wrote a my blog for World Cancer Day 2022.
For those that don't know I was admitted to hospital after a few weeks of excruciating pain in my left ovary and required urgent surgery.
My cyst was removed 17th March 2020. This was my third polycystic ovarian surgery since 2004.
During November 2017 I had my first rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder, and then a year later October 2018 I had the same surgery on my left shoulder.
Its been a long 5 years of excruciating pain, sleepless nights and slow healing.
I still have bouts of low energy, pain and anxiety.
This month I finally had injections to relieve the pain in my left shoulder.
It's been a long month healing and I'm trying to keep positive.
Thank you to all my friends and family who pray for my recovery and good health.
This months session was titled Waste Not Want Not and was presented by Ahmed. I attended virtually.

Clear out your kitchen cupboard. Clear out your messiest cupboard and see you well you can organise it.
Organise your kitchen cupboards and start doing meal planning.
Week 2
Make a healthy snack with as many items from your cupboards, making things from scratch uses up ingredients and reducing packaging.
Week 3
Meal planning - Plan your meals for the week.
Week 4
Food Shop Challenge - 1 week food shop by buying as little plastic packaging as possible.

My beautiful mother Mrs Meshar Mumtaz Bano was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer March 2012, she was 59 years old.
Mum courageously received 4 years of chemotherapy and radiotherapy before she returned to her maker April 18th 2016, she was 62 years old.
My Amee (mother) enjoyed painting, had a passion for gardening and travel.
The blog below illustrates the precious time and memories I have of visiting Javed Manzil, Lahore, Pakistan with my mother before she was diagnosed with cancer.
I'd like to take this opportunity to offer prayers for all those who have lost a loved one to cancer.

It will be 6years this April since I last saw my beloved mother.
Its been a roller-coaster of emotions as I cope with my loss, grief and bereavement.
I still remember hours after Mum took her last breaths how distraught I was.
The photograph below is a beautiful reminder of how I remember my mother.
She was a strong independent happy, healthy woman with a beautiful smile.

My right shoulder is still very painful and inflamed again and I have struggled to type this blog.
Despite my pain I managed to attend a webinar and record videos about PIE Community members expressing an interest to join.
I celebrated World Cancer Day 2024 by creating a poster in Urdu and English.
I participated in a School for Social Entrepreneur webinar with Chris Hines MBE.

I am grateful to all the guest speakers and trainers who took time out of their busy schedules to talk about Suicide Prevention, Bereavement and Write to Speak Your Poetry.
