  • 2010 - Featured in the National UAE Newspaper.

  • 2010 - Began trading at the Covent Garden market, JBR, Dubai, UAE.

  • 2010 - Visited Fair Trade Bali and producer group Arum Dali Mekar.

  • 2011
  • 2011 - Became an associate individual member of the World Fair Trade Organization.

  • 2011 - Participated at the Arabian Travel Market, World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE.

  • 2011 - Trip to Malaysia and Thai Crafts (Bangkok) to source fairtrade products.

  • 2011 - Participated at WOMAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

  • 2011 - Met Harriet Lamb, Ex Chief Executive of the Fairtrade Foundation, at the Fairtrade Annual Supporters Conference, Aston University, Birmingham, UK.

  • 2011 - Visited Traidcraft, Gateshead, UK.

  • 2011 - Awarded the BOLDtalks Open Mind Award.

  • 2011 - Conducted interviews with Sabah Pakistan Rawalpindi, The Dominion Traders and other NGOs in Karachi.

  • 2011 - Met with Miki Mistrati, the producer of The Dark Side of Chocolate.

  • 2011 - 2013 - Traded at the Ripe Market, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE.

  • 2012 - My mum was diagnosed with cancer. All proceeds from this 'Bobble Bag' are donated to The Christie and The Genesis Trust.

  • 2012 - Completed my first "Six Items Challenge" for Labour Behind The Label.

  • 2012 - Studied Fairtrade at Liverpool Hope University.


    2012 - Presented a talk about fairtrade at Preston University, Ajman.

  • 2012 - Visited The FIG Tree Garstang, UK and met with Bruce Crowther MBE and Rita Verity.

  • 2012 - Completed 10km run for breast cancer. Nights of Neon for The Christie Manchester.

  • 2012 - Visited Namaste in Skipton, UK.

  • 2012 - 2015 - The business became a secondary concern as caring for my mother was my main priority.

  • 2012 - Attended the Fairtrade Annual Supporters Conference, London, UK.

  • 2013 - Fairtrade interviews of Mrs Nisreen and The Dominion Traders featured on the Royal Society of Arts website.

  • 2013 - Met with Christina Longden, Ian Agnew and Abiyot Sherifaw of The Lorna Young Foundation and the Oromo Coffee Company.

  • 2013 - Visited Sonia's Smiles and Rita Verity, Haworth.

  • 2013 - Featured in Out and About television series, Dubai while trading at the Ripe Market.

  • 2013 - Presented fairtrade to my primary school, The Old Moat Primary School in Manchester, UK.

  • 2013 - Attended the Fairtrade Annual Supporters Conference, Kensington Town Hall, London, UK

  • 2013 - Met Professor Mohammad Yunus at Salford University, Manchester, UK.

  • 2014
  • 2014 - Conducted a live Skype fairtrade presentation with ESOL students at Hugh Baird College, Liverpool, UK.

  • 2014 - Visited Hadeel Palcraft, Edinburgh, UK.

  • 2014 - Visited Maximus and Selyn, Sri Lanka.

  • 2015
  • 2015 - Trip to Malaysia and Thai Crafts (Bangkok) to source fairtrade products.

  • 2015 - Visited Traidcraft, Gateshead, UK.

  • 2015 - Started working on the re-launch of The Little Fair Trade Shop website with Helen Barlow at One Line Ethical Design Studio.

  • 2015 - Interviewed fairtrade producers The Dominion Traders and other NGOs in Karachi.

  • 2015 - Taught fairtrade to children at the Star International School, Dubai, UAE.

  • 2016
  • 2016 - Presented Fair Trade to parents at the Home Grown Children's Eco Nursery, Dubai, UAE.

  • 2016 - Conducted several photo-shoots for the children's fairtrade organic range.

  • 2016 - Relaunched The Little Fair Trade Shop website.

  • 2016 - Began development of fairtrade sustainable packaging with a dual purpose:
    1) implement Fair Trade Principle number 10 - protect the environment
    and
    2) in memoriam of my mother Mrs Meshar Mumtaz Bano  who loved gardening. 

  • 2016 - Currently completing my five year Six Items Challenge.
