This year I organised World Fair Trade Day at the inspirational Home Grown Children's Eco Nursery, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with the support of a few friends.
The very delicious fair trade cakes were baked my dear friend Saima. The frosting contained Green & Blacks Maya Gold and 70% Dark Chocolate.
Teachers, parents and children came together to form a human chain and show their support for fair trade producers around the world.
I also raised the profile of fair trade producers by setting up a stall for parents and conducted a fair trade photo shoot with children and parents to show support for fair trade cotton farmers Agrocel (India) and SEKEM (Egypt).
I hope to celebrate World Fair Trade Day 2017 with many other fair trade supporters and friends next year.
Many thanks to Lucy Bruce, Ailsa, teachers and parents at the Home Grown Children's Eco Nusery Dubai, avid fair trade supporters Saima, Fikra, Sofia and all the wonderful little fair trade ambassadors who were the stars of the day.
Happy World Fair Trade Day 2016 from Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

So here I am for the eighth consecutive year I'm participating in the Six Items Challenge with Labour Behind The Label.
This year the challenge commences 6th March - 18th April March 2019.
I have decided to participate and support the Six Items Challenge for the eighth year because I started to campaign for garment and factory workers while caring for my mother who had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
The six items challenge means I choose six items of clothing to wear for six weeks.
This does not include under garments or exercise gear. You can wear an endless supply of these. :)
Submitted my video for Be the Change and Ethical Hour.
Despite struggling with my shoulders I celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight 2019 in Dubai, UAE.
My Fairtrade Journey was tweeted by Servane Mouazan of Ogunte.
The World Cancer Day team asked if they could post my video/blog to their website.
My application was successful as a World Pulse Ambassador.
I submitted my video for Be the Change Awards 2019.
Many thanks to Sian Conway and Jo Salter for their dedication and tireless work to make the Be The Change Awards successful.
